Dawn was an outstanding calculus tutor for our daughter. She took AP Calculus AB in 11th grade while also managing four other AP classes, and Dawn played a major role in helping her succeed. Beyond improving her understanding of the material, Dawn helped build her confidence and reduce the stress that often comes with a demanding academic schedule.

She is responsible for taking a young man with ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia and zero executive functioning skills and not only teaching math but also organizational skills and study skills! A treasure! My daughter found out she was required to take the SAT on very short notice. Dr. A. found a spot for her that worked well with her schedule- not an easy feat! My daughter had a goal and Dr. A. helped her surpass it after six weekly sessions together. Dr. A.’s communication was clear and supportive. When my son started working with Dawn 2 years ago, he cried daily about math class and HW time was the worst hour of our day. His self esteem was almost non-existent and he attended a school for children with learning disabilities. Last week he finished 7th grade in a mainstream school at the TOP of his math class. He studied for his final exam with no help from his parents (phew!). We owe this transformation to Dawn - 100%. We highly recommend!

Dr. Dawn was a huge help in getting me thru my college level calculus. I came in not having taken a math course in over 20 years and she not only helped me get caught up but she was able to teach me enough to get ahead of the coursework before the mid point in the semester. She was able to explain complex topics and other subjects that were difficult with relative ease. She was always patience and supportive even when I would perform poorly on an exam. I feel it was well worth the expense whether I plan to continue on with additional education or not. Highly recommend her for any student looking to improve their performance in a math course or prepare for testing.

Dr. Anderson delivers amazing results with any type of math learner. Our eldest loved math but wished to boost his understanding and final SAT score before applying to engineering schools. He topped his previous high SAT scores, gained confidence, and is now a civil engineer with a high-profile company in the DC area. Our youngest was not too keen on math, but Dawn made it fun and showed her she really was good at it. She, too, topped her previous scores and gained a greater appreciation for her abilities. I highly recommend Dawn.

We reached out to Dr. Anderson mid-semester for our son who was struggling to keep up with some of the course work for pre-calculus. Not only was Dr. Anderson a wonderful resource on classroom content, but she also helped him with study strategies that involved time management, successful content/course progression, and self accountability. He started his time with Dr. Anderson with the goal of improving his grade by two letter grades. It wasn't an easy journey for him, but with the help of Dr. Anderson, he was able to achieve that goal.

Searching for a tutor your child actually looks forward to meeting with? I wouldn’t have thought it possible, but that has been the case for us with Dr. Dawn Anderson. My son often enters her sessions feeling confused and frustrated with math and leaves feeling confident and ready to tackle the next challenging concept.
